Thanks to all the Mountaineer fans who came to Buffalo Joe's for our WVU v. Texas Tech game watch. We had a number of new faces and welcomed a future WVU student (fall 2014) and marching band hopeful to the crowd.
The 50/50 raffle was a great success as well. The total value of the pot was $190, and since Kari bought the winning ticket, the entire amount has been donated to The Pride Travel Fund (pridetravelfund.com). For the 2013-14 school year, DFW Mountaineers has donated $340 to enable the Mountaineer Marching band to perform at locations across the state of West Virginia and the country. We will continue to support this at future game watches.
All WVU alumni chapters are taking part in a pajama drive during the 2013 football season. Pajamas of all sizes for boys and girls (infants through teens) are needed (new and unused items only, please). They will be delivered to the WVU Children's Hospital in early December. Please bring them to next week's watch party.
Don't forget to register for the West Virginia v. TCU Welcome Party at Billy Bob's Texas on 1 Nov 2013. Tickets are $49 and provide admission, Texas BBQ dinner, live entertainment, and a fun-filled night with your fellow Mountaineer fans, friends, and family. We hope to see you there.
